XSI Display
1. Shutter Speed.

2. Aperture.

3. WB It is the white balance button and it affects your photo by letting you choose different
settings depending on where you are at and how the lighting is such as daylight, cloudy, beach, etc...

Rule Of Thirds
1. Also sent in e-mail.

2. Rule of thirds is when a picture is taken and the main focus/subject is not dead center of the picture.

Shutter Speed
1. The shutter speed is set fast to capture the motion of the surfer so the moment he is up in the air the picture is taken quickly.

2. The shutter speed is a really slow setting so that it can take in as much light as possible. You would change the number in the top left corner to a high number such as 30 seconds so you can let all the lighting in.

Aperture
1. The first photo is an example of a wide aperture because everything behind and around the subject is in focus. To make this possible you would use a smaller aperture such as F22.

2. This photo is an example of a narrow aperture because there is one main subject in focus. To make this possible you would use a larger aperture such as F3.5

3. If you had a group of 3-5 people in a shot and wanted them all to be in focus you would use a wider aperture such as F22 to keep all of them in focus and not have anyone in particular blurred more than another.

4. The distance between the nearest and farthest points in the photo that are in focus.
